United Labels AG (ISIN: DE 0005489561, WKN: 548956) expanded its Group revenue to EUR7.7 million in the first quarter of 2015. Rising by 17%, revenue was up significantly on the prior-year figure of EUR6.6 million. Growth was driven by new accounts as well as an expansion in the volumes ordered by existing customers in the two segments operated by the company, Key Account and Special Retail. At EUR0.1 million, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was markedly higher than in the first quarter of the previous year (EUR-0.2 million). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) also improved significantly, up to EUR-0.1 million (prev. year: EUR-0.4 million). The future strategic approach taken by UNITEDLABELS AG will be firmly focused on textiles targeted at the Key Account segment, with an emphasis on more premium-quality, high-margin products and expansion within the NOS (Never-Out-Of-Stock) giftware category for B2B and B2C customers.
