Swiss Nagra secures drilling capacity of Daldrup & Söhne AG
until the end of 2021

- Successful completion of Bülach and Marthalen drilling

- Bözberg drilling commenced

- Key parameters of further drilling for 2021 contractually fixed

Oberhaching / Ascheberg, September 23, 2020 - Nagra, the Swiss National Genossenschaft for the Disposal of Radioactive Waste, has extended the scope of the contract for the exploratory drilling programme that has been in progress since the beginning of 2019. Following the successful completion of the drilling operations in Bülach and Marthalen by Daldrup & Söhne AG (ISIN DE0007830572), work has already begun on the recently commissioned Bözberg well. The completion of the work in Bözberg is expected in November 2020 and can therefore be booked in the 2020 financial year in terms of sales and earnings of Daldrup & Söhne AG. The Bözberg well is the third well in the multi-year exploration drilling project.

For the 2021 financial year, an agreement was reached with Nagra to extend the contract by a fourth and, if necessary, a fifth well, thus securing Daldrup's capacity utilization in Switzerland for the 2021 financial year.

Nagra is seeking a suitable site for a deep geological repository for radioactive waste in Switzerland. The drillings are intended to complete the overall geological picture of the potential siting regions and thus facilitate the selection of the safest site for a deep geological repository.
