Telefónica Deutschland extends contracts of the Executive Management Board

The Supervisory Board of Telefónica Deutschland resolved upon the extension of the appointments of Valentina Daiber as Chief Officer Legal & Corporate Affairs, Nicole Gerhardt as Chief Human Resources Officer, Alfons Lösing as Chief Partner & Wholesale Officer, Wolfgang Metze as Chief Consumer Officer and Markus Rolle as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) until 31 July 2023 respectively.

Chief Information Officer Guido Eidmann has for personal reasons decided not to extend his contract and will leave the company at the end of October in best mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board.

Guido Eidmann took a leading role in the integration of Telefónica Deutschland and E-Plus with his team, designing the technological basis for an integrated IT platform. In the process, the successful migration of ~25 million E-Plus customers remains a key achievement.

As announced previously, Mallik Rao joined the Management Board of Telefónica Deutschland with a tenure until 31 December 2022. He will take over the role of Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) from Cayetano Carbajo Martin and Guido Eidmann respectively; bringing many years of experience in the same position within the Vodafone Group with him.

The contract of CEO Markus Haas has already been extended in February 2019 until 31 December 2022. He will continue to lead Telefónica Deutschland through the digital transformation and under his leadership, the Management Board of Telefónica Deutschland will continue to develop the operational and financial performance of the company and roll out 5G to further improve customer experience in the Telefónica Deutschland network.
