As a result, Klöckner & Co benefited more strongly than anticipated from the positive market trend. On the basis of preliminary figures, instead of between EUR65 and EUR75 million as guidance, second-quarter operating income (EBITDA) is now expected to be around EUR82 million. A strong year-on-year increase in operating income is forecasted for the third quarter also due to the expected price level. Therefore, the expectation for the full year is now at least a slight increase in EBITDA compared with the prior-year figure.
