In accordance with the request from the company's executive board the Munich local court has decided to appoint Dr. Oscar Kienzle as the new member of the supervisory board. The appointment became necessary when Prof. Dr. Alexander Hemmelrath, the previous chairperson of the company supervisory board, chose to resign his position. All members of the executive board and the colleagues from the supervisory board wish to thank Professor Hemmelrath for his many years of service and deeply regret his decision to leave. Immediately after the court appointment, the supervisory board elected Dr. Oscar Kienzle as chair and Alexander Pferschy, who has an engineering degree, as vice-chair. The lawyer Günter Koller completes the management board. The term of office for all three members of the supervisory board will end with the general meeting in 2013, when the shareholders will then once again be able to elect their representatives. Dr. Oscar Kienzle, the newly elected chair of the supervisory board of GIEAG Immobilien AG, is on the management board of the Günther Graf von Hardenberg Stiftung in Karlsruhe and until August 2011 was company spokesperson for IC Immobilien Holding AG and subsequently member of the supervisory board. Furthermore he is the deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Fair Value Reit AG. Before IC Immobilien Holding AG was founded in 1988, Dr. Kienzle played an active role in a variety of positions within the property sector of WestLB-Konzerns, including his position as managing director of the WestLB Immobilien Gruppe. Dr. Kienzle was a professional lawyer. He has completed a second course of study in mathematics and economics, achieving an MBA in Fontainebleau. He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
