(NEA), Maastricht. The transaction will have retroactive effect from 1 January 2015. NEA develops quality medical braces and sport braces for the specific application in the treatment of joint injuries and chronic diseases. The braces are sold in more than 30 countries to customers in both the medical and sporting goods sector. NEA was founded in Maastricht in 1986 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Macintosh. Since the beginning of the 1990s, OFA Bamberg has sold NEA products in Germany and Austria. OFA Bamberg is a manufacturer of medical compression stockings, bandages and orthoses as well as preventive healthcare products such as support and travel stockings. The company's product range also includes special stockings for athletes and diabetics. The products are distributed primarily through specialist medical retailers and pharmacies. OFA distributes its products worldwide in more than 40 countries and has been a member of the INDUS Group since 2000.
