DGAP-News: BayWa AG / Key word(s): Preliminary Results BayWa AG: New records in revenues, earnings and dividend in 2013 27.02.2014 / 10:00 --------------------------------------------------------------------- BayWa AG: New records in revenues, earnings and dividend in 2013 BayWa AG, Munich, has concluded the financial year 2013 with resounding success. In its preliminary figures published on 27 February, the international trading and services company has recorded substantial increases in both revenues and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT). Consolidated revenues came to roughly EUR16 billion in 2013, a year-on-year rise of 52% (prior year: EUR10.5 billion). EBIT increased in the reporting year by 19% to approximately EUR222 million (prior year: EUR187 million). BayWa generated operating EBIT of EUR196 million (prior year: EUR169 million) through the business activities of its segments alone. Earnings before tax grew by 37% to EUR168 million (previous year: EUR123 million). "We achieved an outstanding result in our operating business," said Chief Executive Officer of BayWa AG, Klaus Josef Lutz. "This was driven in particular by our international growth and is further testament to our strategy." The success enjoyed in 2013 is also set to be reflected in the dividend for the financial year. The Board of Management will propose to the Supervisory Board a further increase in the dividend: from EUR0.65 to EUR0.75 per share. This would be equivalent to a rise of 15%. BayWa AG is set to publish its full business figures for the year together with its balance sheet on 27 March 2014.
