The Supervisory Board has approved a request by Dr Schmelzer to end his contract early. Details of his successor will be announced shortly. Dirk Schmelzer has held the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at HolidayCheck Group AG since 1 February 2011. Over the last few years he has played a key role in the company's transition towards an exclusive focus on the travel business. This involved the successful disposal of all non- travel brands, generating a total cash inflow of EUR 100 million for HolidayCheck Group AG. With an equity ratio of around 85 percent, the HolidayCheck Group has liquid assets of more than EUR 30 million with no outstanding bank loans. 'Financially, we are ideally placed to realise our vision of developing the HolidayCheck Group into the most holidaymaker-friendly company in the world,' explained Georg Hesse, CEO of HolidayCheck Group AG.
