The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- CANCOM SE: operating result rises by 75.2 percent in the first half of the year Munich, Germany, 29 July 2016 - CANCOM SE reports preliminary results as at 30 June 2016. For the first six months of the current financial year CANCOM Group achieved consolidated revenues of Euro 492.2 million after Euro 430.5 million in the first half of 2015, a growth of 14.3 percent. Preliminary earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization for the Group (EBITDA) were Euro 33.1 million and 39.7 percent higher than the previous year's figure of Euro 23.7 million. EBITDA margin rose to 6.7 percent and shows a further improvement in the Group's profitability compared to prior year's level of 5.5 percent. Preliminary Group operating result (earnings before interest and taxes/EBIT) increased by 75.2 percent in the first six months of the current financial year from Euro 12.9 million in the first half of 2015 up to Euro 22.6 million. According to preliminary figures, the second quarter continued with a strong business development. Group revenues grew by 10.8 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year up to Euro 257.5 million (q2/2015: Euro 232.3 million). Preliminary Group EBITDA of q2/2016 rose by 30.8 percent to Euro 17.0 million after Euro 13.0 million in the second quarter of 2015. Accordingly, improved group profitability compared to prior-year quarter is shown in an EBITDA margin of 6.6 percent for q2/2016 (q2/2015: 5.6 percent). Preliminary Group EBIT grew by 52.6 percent from EUR 7.6 million to EUR 11.6 million.
