Of this amount, the directory assistance business accounted for EUR 16.3 million (9 months 2014: EUR 21.4 million) and the digital business accounted for EUR 24.5 million (9 months 2014: EUR 26.1 million). EBITDA for the company as a whole as of 30 September 2015 came to EUR 0.1 million (9 months 2014: EUR 1.7 million). The directory assistance business generated EBITDA of EUR 1.7 million (9 months 2014: EUR 2.6 million) and the digital business generated EBITDA of EUR -1.6 million (9 months 2014: EUR -0.9 million). "We cannot be satisfied with these results and we have already taken the necessary steps to stop the downturn in revenue and earnings. In recent months, telegate has lost too many customers and has focused on the wrong things," says Christian Maar, who was appointed CEO of telegate AG in June 2015. He immediately initiated a reorganization of the company. The first move was realigning the sales activities and completely eliminating a management level in two departments. In addition, plans are already underway to consolidate sites to reduce costs. "With a modified sales strategy and a new product portfolio, we will ensure that our divisions will do business more profitably in the future," explains Christian Maar. As early as the beginning of the next financial year, initial target group-specific vertical products will be launched to make the offering more attractive to advertising customers. "We must focus much more specifically on consumers, because consumers are the ones who generate the desired revenue for our customers," he says.
