Due to the very strong demand among investors, the Group was able to substantially increase the originally planned issue volume to EUR 500 million. The proceeds will serve primarily to finance the acquisition of US-based Pinova Holdings announced in September. "We are delighted with the positive response to our placement, which has enabled us to broaden our portfolio of financial instruments while diversifying the maturity profile of our funding. The issue involved the placement of promissory note loans with maturities of five, seven and ten years. Symrise was able to secure extremely good interest rates, in each case at the lower end of the marketing range. The issue was arranged by Commerzbank, LBBW and UniCredit Bank. The proceeds will primarily be used to finance the acquisition of US-based Pinova Holdings, which is scheduled to close at the beginning of 2016. With the integration of Pinova Holdings, Symrise will strengthen its Scent & Care segment, expand its range of fragrance ingredients and reinforce its expertise in the production of fragrance compositions.
