The company is also optimistic about 2016. According to preliminary figures, sales rose by 42.4% from EUR 2.4 million to EUR 3.5 million in 2015, while total output climbed 38% from EUR 2.89 million to EUR 4.0 million. artec's profits increased sharply, with earnings before interest and taxes up from EUR 0.11 million to EUR 0.64 million. As a result of the very positive business trend, the equity ratio will exceed 90% as of 31 December 2015. The positive operating performance was supported by all business segments, as artec benefited from high demand in both the video security technology segment and the media and broadcast segment. This should continue in the current financial year. "We operate in markets with excellent growth prospects such as security, IPTV and big data," says Thomas Hoffmann, CEO of artec technologies AG. "In 2015 we won tenders for reference projects and implemented them successfully. This has also led to new inquiries.
