WCM reports rental success in Berlin-Mitte
- Main tenant of office building extends lease until 2022
- Property WALT increases from two to around seven years
Frankfurt, 9 July 2015 - WCM Beteiligungs- und Grundbesitz-AG (WCM AG,
ISIN: DE000A1X3X33) today announced a rental success for the fully let
office building in Dircksenstrasse 42-44 in Berlin that was acquired by WCM
in a share deal on 20 April 2015. The property, which occupies a central
location between Hackescher Markt and Alexanderplatz, has a total floor
area of 9,643 square metres, of which 9,559 square metres are let to its
main tenant. The main tenant has now exercised an option to extend its
lease until 31 March 2022, which increases the office building's weighted
average lease term (WALT) from two to approximately seven years. This
extension increases the WALT of WCM's total portfolio from 9.8 years to
10.0 years.
The transfer of benefits and encumbrances of this property is scheduled for
late August 2015, after which all of the rental income will flow to WCM AG.
