Offenburg, February 20, 2015 - MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (MediClin) achieved Group sales of EUR 538.0 mill. in the 2014 FY. The sales plus was EUR 23.1 mill. or 4.5 % against previous year. The largest share of sales growth - about eighty percent - accounted for the post-acute segment, which had not to face the usual seasonal slowdown of occupancy in the 1st. and 4th quarter 2014. The occupancy rate of the Group rose from 84.7 % to 87.3 %. The number of cases increased 1.8 % to almost 121 thousand cases. The preliminary Group operating result (Group-EBIT) increased from EUR 2.2 mill. to EUR 15.6 mill. and the preliminary result attributable to shareholders from EUR -2.6 mill. to EUR 8.5 mill. Earnings per share account to EUR 0.18 (previous year: EUR -0.06). EUR 21.0 mill (previous year: EUR 18.6 mill.) were invested in capital expenditure in the 2014 FY including EUR 5.2 mill. (previous year: EUR 4.4 mill.) subsidies. As of December 31, 2014 cash and cash equivalents amount to EUR 26.3 mill. (31.12.2013: EUR 13.2 mill.); the equity ratio is 48.2 %.
