Trostberg, May 26, 2021 - AlzChem Group AG will benefit in the future from strong growth in the market for vegan and vegetarian foods. AlzChem produces high-purity creatine under the brand name Creapure^(R), which can be used as a dietary supplement, especially in foods for vegan and vegetarian nutrition. Since people who eat only vegan or vegetarian food are very often deficient in creatine, Creapure^(R) guarantees an adequate supply of this energy transporter and store, which is only rudimentarily present in this group of people. Creatine can realize its full potential as a dietary supplement, particularly in foods for vegan and vegetarian nutrition and in sports nutrition. Creatine plays a central role in human cells as an energy transporter and store. In the body of an adult, there are about 80 to 130 grams of this natural, endogenous substance. However, since the body breaks down and excretes around one to two percent of it every day, it must regularly replenish its creatine supply. Various organs can synthesize part of it, while the body must absorb the rest through food.
