CEO Sinner focuses on expanding standardized and digital solutions


Wiesbaden, 15 June 2020 - Traumhaus AG (ISIN: DE000A2NB7S2), one of the leading manufacturers of terraced and semi-detached houses in Germany, has published its annual report. Supervisory Board Chairman Markus Wenner stated: "In 2019 Traumhaus AG has continued on its growth course. The company has been able to establish a key success factor with the sophisticated standardization of all process steps".

In the past fiscal year, the company was able to further develop the combination of serial construction and the standardization practiced. CEO Otfried Sinner emphasized: "We have been able to expand our project planning for entire quarters. Especially the complexity of our standardized products: terraced house, semi-detached house as well as multi-family house we were able to emphasize. Sales revenues increased by around 60% from EUR 54.44 million to EUR 86.37 million. Total operating performance including other operating income climbed to EUR 74.00 million (previous year 65.90). Consolidated EBITDA amounted to EUR 8.11m (previous year: 8.03). In the year under review, a net profit of EUR 3.24 million (previous year 3.89) was achieved. The balance sheet total increased to EUR 139.7 million (previous year 104.4). The main reasons for this were the increase in real estate holdings and a rise in trade receivables. The equity ratio increased slightly by 1.4% to 16.6%. As of the balance sheet date, the company reported cash and cash equivalents of EUR 5.3 million (previous year: 11.8).

In the context of the COVID 19 pandemic, the ability to forecast for the fiscal year 2020 is limited. Sinner: "Our pipeline is filled more than ever. We have planned 40 (previous year 27) own sites for around 1,520 (previous year 1,200) terraced houses and semi-detached houses as well as 18 multi-family houses with 244 residential units".

Traumhaus AG has initiated various steps for the further growth course in the 2019 financial year. A capital increase is still planned to increase the equity ratio, market flexibility and free float. The number of properties to be acquired and the diversification of the regions will also be further advanced. In the past financial year alone, the company acquired properties with a volume of around EUR 40 million.

Fully automated prefabrication will be an additional engine for expansion. Just under EUR 2.0 million was invested in this in the past fiscal year. In this plant, Traumhaus AG will produce finished walls in solid construction and seamlessly join them together on the building sites to form shell structures. This digitally controlled process could significantly increase the number of completed residential units. The expansion of partnerships with local authorities with regard to sustainable and future-proof energy concepts is also progressing steadily.

Sinner: "The standardization that has been successfully practiced for more than 25 years has contributed to the simplification of project management and increased efficiency. We expect further advantages from the introduction of type statics". Already in the current fiscal year, 390 units are under construction. "We will consistently continue to pursue the paths we have successfully taken so far", said the CEO.

The annual general meeting of Traumhaus AG was scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2020.
