- In 2019 alone, properties worth almost 1 billion euros were acquired and one large property sold

Frankfurt 04/02/2020 - publity AG (Scale, ISIN DE0006972508), an investor and asset manager focused on office properties in Germany, has expanded the group's real estate portfolio to a volume of now around 1.1 billion euros. The group' s own portfolio is completely bundled in the group subsidiary PREOS Real Estate AG ("PREOS"). In 2019 alone, properties worth almost EUR 1 billion were purchased for the company's own portfolio, and market opportunities were used to sell a large property, the approximately 26,000 square meter St. Martin Tower in Frankfurt/Main, from the company's own portfolio. The further focus in the acquisition of properties for our own portfolio is primarily on properties in excellent locations in major cities such as Frankfurt and Munich. In particular, large-volume assets with a market value of more than EUR 50 million each are to be acquired and, in 2020, properties for a total of up to EUR 2 billion are to be purchased.

The publity portfolio currently consists of 19 properties with a lettable area of more than 300,000 square meters. Properties acquired in 2019 include, for example, the Sky Germany headquarters in Unterföhring near Munich, the Access Tower in Frankfurt/Main and the Karstadt headquarters in Essen. Also, the purchase agreement for the Centurion in Frankfurt/Main was notarised in 2019. The transaction will be closed during the first quarter of 2020.

publity participates in the group's own portfolio fully from the value-enhancing development of the properties. A positive factor here is the very good access to attractive properties through publity's extensive database of around 9,000 properties and the excellent network.

The focus of publity AG will remain asset management for institutional investors, where publity receives fees at the various process stages. Due to the different risk/return profiles of the investors with an investment focus on different size classes in the individual transactions, conflicts of interest for building up their own real estate portfolios are excluded.

Despite the sale of a large property, we are still above the billion threshold for our own assets under management. We see further considerable market potential, especially for large properties, which we will exploit for ourselves in addition to the pure asset management business with institutional clients.
