Baader Helvea Swiss Equities Conference: Record attendance numbers confirmed in top Extel rankings

Unterschleissheim, 20 January 2020: At the 16th Baader Helvea Swiss Equities Conference in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, which came to an end on Friday after two conference days, 71 leading Swiss companies met with 300 institutional investors from 20 countries. Decision-makers from the companies gave numerous individual presentations to summarise the progression over recent quarters.

Despite an economic environment that remains subdued, the majority of Swiss companies remain confident about the future business outlook. Due to investments in new technologies and products as well as a clear focus on markets with profitable growth prospects, most top managers see favourable conditions for a further increase in profits. Considering the very healthy levels of liquidity, many company representatives are also optimistic that they will be able to distribute higher dividends to investors. The presenting companies are also well prepared regarding the topic of sustainability, which is becoming increasingly important.

The success of the conference was underlined by the outstanding Extel 2019 voting results for its Baader Helvea conferences. "Swiss Equities Conference", which takes place at the beginning of the year in Switzerland, was voted best "Pan European Broker Conference" worldwide. While "Baader Investment Conference", hosted yearly in September in Munich, won an extremely noteworthy second place. "With our two annual conferences, we have succeeded in establishing leading conferences in Europe and setting the standard," explained Oliver Riedel, Member of the Board of Directors.
