Vectron Systems AG (Vectron), a leading provider of intelligent POS systems comprising hardware, software and cloud services, specialising in the hospitality and bakery sector, is back on track to growth.

Now that it is finally clear that the legislator will be enforcing the POS Security Ordinance (Kassensicherungsverordnung) as planned in 2020, the reluctance to invest is slowly dissipating in the entire POS industry. This is also reflected in the business trend at the end of 2019. According to preliminary calculations, Vectron generated sales of around EUR 7.9 million in the fourth quarter (Q4 2018: around EUR 5.6 million). The year-on-year decreases in sales that the company experienced during the course of the year were thus fully compensated by the strong closing quarter. The preliminary total annual sales in 2019 came to EUR 25.4 million, which is around two percent up on total annual sales in 2018.

There are no exact figures as yet for the operative profit. However, the strong closing quarter means that the EBITDA will increase considerably compared with the figures for the first nine months of 2019. Vectron will therefore have generated a positive EBITDA again in the fourth quarter of 2019.

As previously announced, Vectron aims to generate sales of at least EUR 50 million with an EBIT margin in the lower double-digit percentage range in financial year 2020. The development of the digital business means that monthly recurring sales will increasingly gain in importance. As from 2022, recurring sales are expected to exceed Vectron's traditional POS business for the first time, based on a full year. In financial year 2022, the Company plans sales revenues of at least EUR 100 million and an EBIT margin in the medium double-digit percentage range.
