KGaA (ISIN DE000A0JK2A8), has acquired a 4-star hotel and the associated hotel property in Göttingen. The sales transaction is part of a company succession plan. In future the new hotel will be able to benefit from synergies and the group-wide marketing activities of GHOTEL hotel & living. The parties have agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction. The 4-star hotel, which is located in central Göttingen, has 144 rooms, seven conference rooms, four workshop rooms, a restaurant and a bar. The hotel is in direct proximity to Göttingens' historic Engine Shed, a multi-purpose hall where major events such as trade fairs, concerts and conferences are held. The hotel is well-connected to commuter transport services, national rail services as well as the motorway network and is used by business guests in particular. Göttingen's ten largest employers are located in an approximately 2.5 kilometre radius. Göttingen is a university city with just under 120,000 residents and is located in the economically strong Hanover-Braunschweig-Göttingen-Wolfsburg metropolitan region. The hotel was built in 1998, is in good condition and is to be upgraded and redesigned by the new owner. "We are very pleased about this additional step in the growth of our hotel group.
