PRESS RELEASE
CeBIT: Mentana-Claimsoft unveils secure signature solution FP Sign
Sign contracts and other sensitive documents in compliance with the law and
confidentially exchange them - with a solution that combines process
efficiency with maximum user-friendliness and security
Hanover, 20 March 2017 - IT security specialist FP Mentana-Claimsoft, a
subsidiary of listed company Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG, today gave the
greenlight for FP Sign at the CeBIT after Managing Director Stephan Vanberg
unveiled the new signature solution in a presentation. It enables users to
sign contracts and other documents in compliance with the law - and then
confidentially exchange them via a secure cloud platform.
Sign and exchange with just a few clicks
"With FP Sign we are finally making many, hitherto paper-based workflows
involving sensitive documents digital," explains Vanberg. According to an FP
efficiency report, around 80% of companies in Germany are still sending
confidential documents using traditional letters either very often or often.
Likewise contracts, quotations or orders are still frequently printed,
signed and sent by post for signing. If there are several contracting
parties involved, perhaps even in different countries, it can quickly take a
couple of weeks just to sign an agreement.
"With FP Sign, we are shortening the long-drawn-out process of signing and
exchanging documents to just a few clicks. FP Sign gives all users involved
in the process access from anywhere in the world 24/7," says Vanberg. "With
more than 20 years of experience working with signatures, we can also advise
our customers if they want to accelerate their business processes."
From single user to large enterprise
Companies in Germany and Europe can thus take advantage of the opportunities
from digitalisation. They can also maintain their data sovereignty: FP Sign
data centres are all located in Germany and certified by the German Federal
Office for Information Security. FP Sign is offered as Software as a Service
(SaaS) for users who want to book directly online: single users have access
to FP Sign for just EUR 9 per month. Enterprise customers have a
licence-based range at their disposal, with convenient modules and the
option of directly working from popular CRM applications.
Advanced and qualified electronic signatures
FP Sign allows documents to be signed, for example, with an advanced
signature which is valid for most business transactions. The qualified
electronic signature (qeS) is integrated via an additional module: the "FP
Sign Client App". This satisfies the legal requirements for certain types of
documents, such as staff transfer agreements. The transmission routes are
encrypted and ensure secure transmission between sender and receiver.
