As previously reported, Leifheit's Supervisory Board appointed him as the new CEO in September 2013; at the time, his start date was uncertain due to ongoing negotiations concerning his departure. Dr Claus-Otto Zacharias (59) remains part of the Management Board team as CFO, and will head up the company on an interim basis until the end of the year; in addition to his role as CEO, Radke will be responsible for Marketing, R&D and sales. To recap, Thomas Radke has been a member of the Management Board of Herlitz AG since 2011, and has also served on the Board of Directors of Pelikan Holding AG since 2013. His previous managerial roles include positions in general management, marketing and sales at Carl Zeiss Vision in Aalen, Procter & Gamble/Wella in Geneva and Darmstadt, Effem/Mars in Verden and Henkel KGaA in Barcelona, Tianjin and Dusseldorf.
