In the first six months of 2016, incoming orders of the group amounted to EUR 50.2 million (previous year: EUR 41.6 million, +21 %). The group's sales of EUR 48.5 million were 10 % above the previous year's value of EUR 44.2 million. The gross profit margin was at 49.7 % (previous year: 48.4 %). The group's earnings before taxes (EBT) amounted to EUR 5.3 million (previous year: EUR 5.3 million) and was thus on the same level as in the previous year. The pre-tax return rate was 11 % (previous year: 12 %). "In a dynamic market environment, Basler AG closed the first half-year of 2016 with record values in incoming orders and sales. For the first five months of the year, the VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau; German Engineering Federation) reported a stagnant market for the German manufacturers of image processing components. Compared to the market, in the first half-year, Basler AG achieved an increase in sales of 10 % and thus clearly gained market shares.
