Heidelberg, 16 November 2015 - SNP AG, a leader in the transformation of IT landscapes, has successfully completed the global separation of the SAP landscape at Hewlett-Packard (HP). As the company reported, the major project that was launched in January and an associated three-month test phase have been fully implemented. Thus, one of the key requirements has been created for the legal division of the entire corporation into two independent units, "Hewlett-Packard Enterprise" and "HP Inc.", as planned and without delays as at 1 November 2015. Among other things, this required the division of the commercial SAP systems. The overall volume of the order was around USD 5 million and a total data volume of around 50 terabytes from 16 systems was transformed in 14 days. HP specifically opted for the software-based SNP approach to implement this major project as part of the strategic division of the corporation into two separate units for the areas of "personal computers and printers" and for service and technology business for companies. The SNP Transformation Backbone software developed by SNP ensured that the previous IT landscape was smoothly transformed into what are now separate ERP structures for company-wide resource planning without any significant impact on ongoing operations.
