The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aurubis AG generated operating earnings before taxes (EBT) of EUR +111 million in fiscal year 2012/13 (EUR +296 million in the previous year) according to preliminary figures based on operating earnings as defined by Aurubis. The fourth quarter accounts for EUR -22 million of this amount (EUR +49 million in the previous year) Weak copper scrap and acid markets and a lower metal yield negatively influenced earnings in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year. The scheduled large-scale shutdown in Hamburg caused additional strain. According to preliminary figures, IFRS earnings before taxes (EBT) in fiscal year 2012/13 amount to EUR -233 million (EUR +516 million in the previous year). The fourth quarter accounts for EUR +53 million (EUR +105 million in the previous year after an adjustment pursuant to IAS 8).
